Giant Plaks cards by Topps

Topps released this odd set of trading cards in 1968. There were 50 horizontal numbered cards in the regular set. They were about
4-1/2 x 6-3/4".
The Giant Plaks were basically faux-wood plaques with amusing graphics and text on them. The side edges were serrated to further simulate
cut wood, and a hole was pre-punched in the top center for easy hanging with a push-pin. They came one in a pack for 5 cents.
Note: These were printed on rather thick cardboard, with some identical thinner-cardboard variations known. An earlier test issue
exists; these are also on thinner cardboard with no punchhole, and smooth edges.
The art on these was done by Jack Davis.
Value: Cards from this set, in Excellent condition, command about $5.00 to $7.00 each, with a full set bringing probably $220.00 to
$280.00.
