John F. Kennedy
Rosan Printing Corp. released this trading card set devoted to the recently-murdered President John F. Kennedy in 1964. There were 64 cards in the
set.
The card fronts show a black and white photograph taken from the life of the slain President, with a white border. The card backs
feature a small block of text describing the image, followed by the card number in parentheses. This is bounded by a line of stars
above and below, with a series of line drawings at the bottom representing important aspects of his life: the PT-109 boat on which
he was stationed during World War II, the U.S. Navy insignia, and the Capitol building.
Topps also put out a card set devoted to Kennedy the same year.
Although it is suspected that this card set was distributed by various methods, a hanging rack pack containing all 64 cards is known.
Value: Individual cards from this set, in Excellent condition, can usually be found for about $1.00 each. Full sets can often be had
for between $65.00 and $75.00.
