Soldier cards by Rosen

Soldier Cards Not much is known about this card set, other than it dates to the 1930's and is credited to E. Rosen Company of Providence, Rhode Island (not be confused with Rosan, a later card manufacturer). There are 36 cards in the set.

The card fronts feature lightly-tinted line drawings of soldiers or officers from various nations. Card backs are numbered and offer a block of text on the respective nation.

Note: The card matter indicates that there are 102 Soldier Cards to be had, but only 36 seem to be known to collectors.

Value: Individual cards can bring between $12.00 and $40.00, depending on the nationality and condition. (France, being the #1 card, is valued highest.) A full set of 36 cards can cost between $400.00 and $600.00.
