Super Hero Stickers
The Philadelphia Chewing Gum Company released their (Marvel) Super Hero Stickers in 1967. The set consists of 55 different designs.
The stickers depict various characters from the Marvel superhero universe, which was enjoying increasing popularity with readers at the time.
Each sticker features an altered illustration taken from a Marvel comic, of one or more characters, with a word balloon added that contains humorous text. The character (or at least the more prominent character if more than one are present) are identified in writing.
Each sticker is numbered, with a copyright line at the bottom and the central image surrounded by a white border.
The stickers feature blank tan backs.
Value: A set of 55 stickers in Excellent condition can command between $150.00 and $200.00. Each individual sticker is worth between $2.00 and $4.00.
